Bruce Power launches multimedia website.
Bruce Power launched a new multi-media website Tuesday explaining the Bruce A restart in words, pictures and video clips. The site is linked to the nuclear plant's home page, www.brucepower.com, and tries to make it easier to explain the complex job of returning two nuclear reactors to service, said spokesperson Steve Cannon.
"People know that there's a big project under way. But what all does it involve? And who all is involved?" said Cannon.
A video clip featuring Bruce Power CEO Duncan Hawthorne promises to provide "all of the information you need to understand what the project entails and how it's progressing." The website will let people check if the project is onschedule, Hawthorne said. There's a project timeline which identifies "key project milestones" over the course of the work to return Units 1 and 2.
