The refurbishment of Point Lepreau is a top priority for our organization. The project ensures that the station will continue to produce clean, safe, reliable and affordable electricity to New Brunswickers for at least another 25 years. It is also of strategic significance to AECL's plans for refurbishing other CANDU 6 reactors around the world.

AECL is committed to the success of the Point Lepreau refurbishment project and we will work hand in hand with NB Power to deliver it on time and on budget. This website provides a good example of how we intend to successfully complete this project as an integrated team.
