Appointment of Gary Newman as Vice President and Chief Engineer

Duncan Hawthorne, President and Chief Executive Officer of Bruce Power, is pleased to announce the appointment of Gary Newman as Vice President and Chief Engineer. Mr. Newman joined Bruce Power in 2005 and prior to that was employed by Nuclear Safety Solutions, Ontario Power Generation and Litton Systems. Mr. Newman holds an Honours Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters Degree in Applied Science, both from the University of Waterloo. Bruce Power is Canada's first private nuclear generating company and the source of more than 20 per cent of Ontario's electricity.
